Wharerātā re-launched its website this month to better serve its international Indigenous readers, with correct Māori accents and ability to show multi-national accents. The new look has a a new and growing Events
Listing, Online Library, new feature highlighting articles written with contributions byWharerātā members, a leadership blog by DJ Vanus, and new section with Practice Recommendations.
Wharerātā also launched its new logo, a unique design that reflects the many Indigenous cultures of the Group, and of Indigenous leadership. The Māori word for the posts that hold up a meeting house is pou, and there are similar words for house posts in many Indigenous cultures. Pou also translates to "support, sustenance, elevate, establish", and additionally is used to describe the "person who is strength of group, who leads discussion".
